Professor Isidor Wallimann
A Swiss sociologist and social policy scholar, Professor Isidor Wallimann, is a former Fellow of the Indiana University Bloomington Institute of Advanced Study. He has published numerous books in English and German,  such as ON THE EDGE OF SCARCITY (translated into German), ESTRANGEMENT: MARX’S CONCEPTION OF HUMAN NATURE AND THE DIVISION OF LABOR; GENOCIDE AND THE MODERN AGE (translated into Korean).
He recently completed a book in German on the polluter-pays principle. He holds a Ph.D. in Sociology from Syracuse University and an MA in economics and agriculture from Kansas State University. He recently retired from his positions at the University of Applied Sciences Northwest Switzerland and from the University of Freiburg in Switzerland. As an international scholar, he has been invited to speak at universities in the United States, China, and Taiwan. He has lectured world wide and served the Swiss National Science Foundation as an expert for social policy research programs.


David Galvin
David Galvin was raised on a small farm outside Colfax, Indiana.  After serving in the U.S. Navy for four years as a Telecommunications Specialist, David completed two years of college at Purdue University before being accepted to the Department of International Peace and Conflict Resolution at Uppsala University in Sweden.
David co-founded Care and Share USA, a nonprofit organization serving the street children and impoverished families in the city of Vijayawada, India. While working in India, David served on a tsunami relief team, and established The Durga Project, a medical training and care program for children living with HIV/AIDS.
David began working for Mayor Goodnight in 2008 as the Sustainability Manager for the City of Kokomo. David coordinated the development and implementation of Kokomo Fuel (K-Fuel), the state’s first city-owned and operated biodiesel facility.  He is also overseeing the implementation of Mayor Goodnight’s Economic and Environmental Sustainability Plan.

Brandon Pitcher 
Kokomo native Brandon Pitcher gave his first lecture on sustainability when he was just 19 years old at Purdue University.  Since then he has given over 150 presentations in Indiana and in several countries across the globe in such respected establishments, as MIT and the United Nations University in Tokyo.  He has visited over 30 countries in search of the best in sustainable development and education, searching out the scientists and practitioners in this upcoming and exciting field.  In 2003, Brandon became one of 100 certified ZERI practitioners in the United States and is working adamantly towards changing the paradigm for development in the 21st century towards a more integrated systems approach. 
Brandon moved back from attending the first Master’s course in Systems Design from the Politecnico di Torino in Italy with the vision of exposing others to the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead for humanity.  Recently, Brandon has established two initiatives to help guide Indiana communities through the transition toward a sustainable economic model. 

Paul R. Watkins
Paul R. Watkins is a Kokomo native with a strong passion for information technology.  In 2007, he founded Watkins Technological Labs to take on some of the areas technological problems.  Quickly he came to realize the importance of being budget conscious with IT needs.  He expanded his business to include low-energy PC’s, virtualization, and other cost-saving and eco-friendlier IT solutions.  Paul has studied at IU Bloomington and IU Kokomo and is currently finishing a Bachelor’s of Science degree in the area of Informatics.
He also has experience managing a large number of workstations through his work with the IU Kokomo Department of Information Technology, giving him perspectives on virtualization and “greener” IT technologies from student, system administrator, and system designer roles.  With IT budgets being cut due to the current world economic situation, Paul is a firm believer in the ideal of “if you won’t go green for the planet, go green for your wallet.”
